Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz celebrated the birth anniversary of the Father of the nation Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Mian Nawaz Sharif. PML-N MNA Rana Mehmod-ul-Hassan, Sheikh Tariq Rasheed, Begum Shaheen Shafiq, Punjab Minister Ehsan-uddin Qureshi, MPAs Abdul Waheed Arain, Aamer Saeed Ansari, Bilal Butt, Shahid Mukhtar Lodhi, Sheikh Athar Mumtaz, Hamza Shahid, Aapa Nasreen Noor-ul-Hassan, Sultan Shaheen, Sarwat Khan, a candidate from NA-151 Malik Aasim Dehar, Ahmed Aasim Dehar cut the birthday cakes of Mian Nawaz Sharif and paid him rich tributes.

Apart from PML-N, PPP, PML-Functional and Tehrik-i-Insaf also celebrated the 136th birth anniversary of founder of Pakistan Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah with reverence, renewing the pledge to follow his guiding principles to steer the country out of crises.

The day starts with special prayers to the Almighty for the solidarity, progress, prosperity, peace and harmony in Multan and other parts of the Southern Punjab. Various political, educational and social organisations held special functions to pay homage to the Quaid-e-Azam, who created a separate state for Muslims of South Asia. The celebrations took place both at public and private levels by holding functions to pay tribute to Quaid for his heroic struggle for an independent homeland for Muslims of the Subcontinent.
